A French family-business that has been involved in kiteboarding since the beginning, Manera develops kiteboarding gear for demanding riders: “We believe that the product is the heart of a company, and as a result most of our efforts are spent on the research, development and testing of the collection. We create products so nobody has to get out of the water because they are cold or uncomfortable.” Julien Salles answers our questions about the brand’s redesigned luggage collection, additions to the wetsuit line, harness fit and more.

Please read it and most importantly help support SFBA which has been doing behind the scenes a lot of work to keep your local kite spot open to you for over 30 years. It’s main goal is to be an informational and promo document for our sport to state and local agencies to help secure funding and access.

23 years of trying out new things
18 years of trips around the world
2019 – We are One –
18 years ago we were going on trips to kiteboard
We were looking for places for one particular discipline
Then we added surfboards and SUPs to our boardbags
Foils changed completely our ways to ride and today Wingsurfing has brought a whole new world of opportunities
By bringing all the riders, no matter their speciality on the same spot at the same time, together we are one
We share that one passion which drives everything we do.
We have entered a new chapter and it is all about sharing
From its offices in the south of France, F-One has grown from a small family operation in kiteboarding’s earliest days to a global kiteboarding brand with a complete line of products covering every segment of ripstop-based windsports. 2020 will be a big year for the family-run outfit with a groundbreaking addition to the Bandit line of kites along with a new ram-air all-terrain kite, a wing surfing product and small innovative tweaks to the board and foil lineup.

I wanted to take a minute and fill everyone in on the new 2020 F-One Wing Board series and my experiences so far. Get excited, because this series is going to be a HIT and will be available soon! We are just back from a week in Punta San Carlos for our annual Kitesurfing camp hosted by Solosports, and I had a great time with the Swing, the Gravity foils and the new Rocket Wing we had received a few days prior. So much fun wing surfing the waves of PSC!
