Lately, we have received many questions about the new F-One Rocket Downwind & Light Wind Pro series, so here are some key facts when we compare our range to other known models on the market today. All the information listed below is widely available public information.
F-One range has 15x different sizes and volumes whereas Duotone has 4, KT has 7, Armstrong 5; this is due to the fact that our boards are CNC hand made, very much like a custom model, and do not require a mold. Molds are expensive, and you can’t make significant changes to a mold. Having the choice of 15 x different sizes and volumes give broad options, depending on ability, person size, type of swell, etc… to choose from. You have also more freedom when it comes down to the technologies used in the built. F-One has two difference construction, bamboo carbon and bamboo. Both constructions are proen technologies as we are using them with our wing boards for example.
- F-One range has two different constructions: Bamboo Carbon and Bamboo Standard with two distinct set of prices for 3x different series 20″, 19″ and 18” wide.
- F-One Bamboo Carbon includes a very nice bag – Only Armstrong includes a bag as well – You can see the F-One bag here.
- Manera is coming out with a series of dedicated DW board bags (that will fit the Bamboo Standard).
- F-One has been able to develop the range with some of the best foilers, here are some of the latest clips from some of the best foilers around:

- F-One 7’0 109L Bamboo Standard is $270 cheaper and lighter (1.6lb) than a Armstrong Carbon 7’2 107L
- F-One 7’0 109L Bamboo Standard is $286 cheaper than a KT 7’7 110L Carbon (and only 0.2lb heavier)
- F-One 7’0 109L Bamboo Carbon is $200 more expensive than a KT 7’7 110L (including incentive) – But the KT does not have a bag, F-One does
- F-One 7’10 130L Bamboo Standard is cheaper and lighter than a Duotone Carbon 7’8 135L – Both boards includes no bag.
