Back in November during the GKA SuperKite event in Ilha do Guajiru, amidst the heat of competition, Liam Whaley attempted a backside 9, coming up short and injuring his knee. The result was a ruptured meniscus and Liam made the decision to have it operated on in order to make a full comeback. Despite the surgery, he stayed positive and more determined than ever before. Two months post-surgery he had his first kite session and recently returned to competition to compete at the Full Power Tarifa event. Follow along on his path to recovery.
