Tested: TKB Reviews the WTF Twin Tip “Solid pop, sharp smooth turns—slices up the chop like a sashimi knife.”

New for 2018 F-One presents the WTF!? Lite Tech kiteboard. With a fresh freestyle new school outline, this board is designed to be versatile and efficient for greater pop. It features raised tips for smooth landings along with thinner rails associated to the central and tip channels help to get a grip along with edging. The board’s greater width helps with early planing and landing stability. The flat deck with its offset bolt pattern are designed to accommodate boot bindings. Finally, the double concave makes it comfortable and an excellent freeride board too.

“Footstraps are very comfortable, foot glued to the binding. Great upwind, some flex, carving turns was smooth, solid load and pop. Felt like I could ride all day.” // Chris Myles

“Smooth through the chop despite being a wakestyle board. Solid pop, sharp smooth turns—slices up the chop like a sashimi knife.” // Davey Beard

Tkb Says:
As a brand new product for this year, the WTF!? is one of those products that was introduced to satisfy the niche of unhooked freestyle tour riders but can also be quite fun for freeriding. The WTF features three stance width settings and a fair amount of adjustment of for dialing in duck stance. The WTF sports a fairly large amount of rocker from tip to tip and has a simple bottom shape with double concave. The WTF flex is fairly stiff for good load and pop and the rocker helps with load and release for jumps and makes landings forgiving. The WTF feels a bit skatey when it comes to locking in the rail and is fun and lively for carving.

The WTF came with F-One’s Platinum3 bindings which features a smooth rubbery footbed that many testers found to be fairly dense and middle of the road grippy. The strap is a single Velcro adjustment that is easy to adjust and testers commented on the straps comfort and ability to adjust to a wide spectrum of foot sizes.
