Now riding the F-One Spicy 138 Wakestyle board for boots, Bandit kites and Manera gear for his harness and wetsuit Luis is outfitted for success. Interview with Luis Diego – La Ventana, Baja Mexico

When did you start kiting? I started 4 years ago, with 2 friends on used kites in front of my house.
How old are you? 19 years’ old
Do you have a favorite kite spot in La Ventana? My favorite is Chocolate Lake, out past the Bufadora, because it is flat water. It is a local favorite for tricks. My other favorite is in front of Delaney’s and Baja Joes because of the waves acting as “kickers” for big air.
What new tricks are you working on right now? Double Handle pass (317) and KGB.
Do you have a kiteboarding location you wish you could go to? Hood River, Oregon USA and Cumbuco, Brasil.
What is your Favorite restaurant in La Ventana? My family restaurant, Magueys, in the front of my home. “hay muy rico tacos!!!”
Outside of kiteboarding, what do you enjoy doing with your free time? I enjoy spearfishing and riding motorcycles.
