“Very comfortable, lightweight board that is good at handling chop - Feels fast with good upwind ability, turns well but a little skaty - Loved this board – turns well, playful with great pop and upwinds well,”
I really couldn't find anything wrong with the board. I'm sure there are some things that could be better, but I couldn't find them. The board does everything I'd want a board to do. I'm now excited about riding twin tips again.
It goes upwind very easily with minimal spray to the face in medium chop. It likes to be ridden fast and it locks like a train on rails, allowing you very smooth and sharp turns, without losing power in mid-transition. It is better in light wind than both the 2013 TX and 2013 Trax.
Overall the board is extremely light, has a nice dynamic flex, is very responsive and an extremely comfortable board to fit any type of rider. The TRAX8 is perfect for whatever conditions you have to throw its way
The incomparable build and design is a guaranty that no matter the conditions you’ll have a good session in light winds. The board is small by comparison to other light wind boards, it also it has rocker making it easy to ride as you jump and do tricks like in big winds
I ride the Trax model for 4 years and every year I am thinking that the board will not get any better. This year model looks very similar with the 2012 one, yet there are a few changes on the overall layout that the board more reactive and get more pop.
