After a very unusual start to the year with no competitions, not much kiting and a worldwide pandemic, Liam Whaley finally got to head out to Greece and get back into shape this summer.
After 2 months in quarantine and not being able to kite, Liam Whaley was finally given the green light! He went straight into a big air session at one of his favorite spots in Tarifa, Balneario!
Liam is back in Cape Town once again to compete at the Red Bull King Of The Air for his 3rd consecutive year. After making every place on the podium except for 1st in previous years, there is nothing that he wants more than to win.
Liam has been training like a possessed man for the KOTA (the annual big air event taking place in Cape Town, South Africa) with the new BULLIT kite, specifically designed for this kind of wind and style. Wind window period is now open is from Feb 1 to Feb 16.
The 2019 freestyle championship season just ended with the last event in Brazil with 17 year old teen Colombian rider on top and F-One Liam Whaley 3rd overall. Maxime Chabloz ended 4th and Nicolas Delmas 8th.
