It’s in the middle of California, between LA and SF, where Nate lives, far away from Californian clichés. He lives in a small house close to nature. Even though he travels a lot, he still resonates most with home or the place that feels like home. He could be so happy just surfing crazy slabs in the middle of nowhere. For him, surfing makes everything more beautiful.
Nate is a complete artist following his own path: he creates both with his hand, and with a board under his feet.

Can you tell us a bit more about your passion for surfing?
Ever since I was a kid my father would take me surfing and that was how we connected. That connection with him turned into a passion for the ocean, that led to a lifelong connection with the ocean. The ocean and surfing are very important in my everyday lifestyle.
You just won the lottery, what would you do first?
Take my family on a trip to anywhere they want to go! I’d try not to be ostentatious.
Australia as soon as I can!
What’s the most amazing thing you’ve experienced?
I am very fortunate and I have been able to experience many amazing things but I would say the fact that I have been able to travel the world and it all came from surfing.
What are you doing during a day without waves?
In my days without waves I am working in my shop creating metal sculptures.
