EVENT RECAP: 5th annual Battle of the Bay San Francisco, CA

Photo Oct 17, 11 00 54 AMThe Battle of the Bay is the biggest Stand up Paddle Board Race in San Francisco, California! This past weekend was the fifth annual event was held around world renowned landmarks like Alcatraz and the treacherous Golden Gate Bridge! F-One and Covewater Team Rider Keith McConnaughay took 5th place overall!

During day one Keith finished in a solid 5th place for the long distance 8.5 mile around Alcatraz followed by the treacherous Golden Gate Bridge south tower filled with crazy currents, right on the heels of world class paddlers such as Mo Freitas from Hawaii or Martin Letourneur of France.Photo Oct 18, 3 40 27 PM

Day two was the technical 4 mile race. Sunshine and very windy conditions welcomed the racers on a beautiful Sunday in San Francisco. Tough and a lot of fun. Thanks to Bluerush and all the sponsors for helping with the event. Looking forward to exciting new changes for 2016, we will see you next year!
