F-One and Manera will be a sponsor of the Ekuiluna “Stand Up” Nor Cal fundraiser race on Sunday, July 9, 2017. We have secured insurance, escort boats, and coast guard approval for this event and are excited to offer this to the Bay Area paddling community. We hope to take three crews to the Molokai Hoe which costs approx. $5000 per crew. Official race flyer and all details will be sent out soon. Tentative plans are below. TENTATIVE PLANS:
All racers will receive a raffle ticket to win prizes. Winners of race divisions will receive additional raffle tickets.There will be 3 race options.
#1:SUP/Prone/Keiki/Novice OC-1, OC-2 , Surf ski 3.5 mile race from Encinal Beach and back to Encinal Beach, Alameda CA. It will take place in the protected waters of Encinal Harbor. $20 donation. Course Map: http://routebuilder.org/2641
#2: Short Course Downwind (OC1/OC2/Surfski) from Encinal Beach, Alameda/ Gap in Encinal Breakwall/ to San Leandro Marina. Approx. 9 Miles Donation amount TBD (Still sorting out food options) $40 to $45 Course Map: http://routebuilder.org/25mc
#3:Long Course Downwind (OC1/OC2/Surfski) from Encinal Beach/To Red Bell Bouy at the end of channel markers towards ATT Park/ to San Leandro Marina Approx. 14 miles Donation amount TBD (Still sorting out food options) $40 to $45 Course

Due to the fact the tide is going out during race time, the length of the course, and how the waves form in this area along the Oakland Airport, we will not be offering the SUP option on these courses. The last time SUP was offered on these courses only 2 of the 6 SUP racers finished. We love SUP racers, but we also need to manage the race safely.
