Bruce Johnson is heading to Green Hat Kitefest this year to represent F-One & Manera brands. He’ll run a beach clinic on different types of foils and will raffle off a $500 F-One Kite or Foil Gift certificate to GH Kiteboarding.
Last night kicked off the first St Francis YC Thursday Night Kite for the season. We could not have asked for better conditions. Fog in the distance at the north end of the bridge but perfect sunshine and steady wind on the course and at the beach. 27 racers flying around the course on 11M kites, with perfect power was a great way to kick off the season.
“This year we tested the Mirage with the 800cm Carbon fiber front wing and the 300cm back wing all mounted on the 85cm extruded aluminum mast and a 60cm kite fuselage. This wing overall has a really crisp very solid feel underfoot and overall handles high speeds with a lot of stability, control and ease.”
The F-One IC6 850cm wing is a durable wing that offers a medium foil up speed and much faster high-end speed with extremely stable performance. We tested the IC6 which uses an injected carbon construction to form its front wing, which makes it more durable (and presumably more affordable) than a wing with a carbon fiber glass layup.

“The F-One Pocket Foilboard is one of our favorite freeride boards at 130cm x 47cm with 21.1 liters of flotation. The Pocket is a super fun foilboard that finds a happy medium between flotation and keeping the volume minimalist for more intermediate to advanced riding.”
We are extremely proud to announce that we have won 2018 Best Kite Manufacturer and 2018 Best Board Manufacturer at the IKSURF MAG annual Reader Awards ! We are also second best brand, it means the world to us.

“I was in Indo for that amazing run of swell including the biggest in many years. For three weeks we surfed and foiled our brains out and both the waves that were best for foiling are pretty hollow and shallow so it was a learning curve for me but once I got them sussed out I had a great time. I stayed in the central Mentawis with Gideon from Bilou Beach bungalows and he is the best guide around and managed to find me this amazing right hander for both surfing and foiling and it was the perfect place to test my new F-ONE equipment for both. Its great to be able to travel with one board that is perfect for small wave surfing and foiling and with some quick turns of the screws you can switch from one discipline to another. The progression of foiling is happening so fast right now and its epic to be involved in the sport as we move forward and learn.” Grant Twiggy Baker
