Sitting across from me as I cruise down Highway 1 is a hulking Mitu Monteiro filling out the bucket seat of my full size truck. My job today is part journalist/photographer, part tour guide and part unexpected concierge. I had planned on scoring an early session at Waddell, but Mitu had requested we stop off at a tackle shop outside of San Francisco’s city limits. Mitu talks in creoled-out broken English with a laid-back island style. English is just one of Mitu’s six languages, self-taught from years of running a
Longtime F-One Pro Team rider Charlotte Consorti heads to Kenya thinking she might get to do a bit of kiting and see a bunch of animals. Sadly due to the amazing kite conditions she spent the entire trip shredding and only saw a couple of donkeys!

By winning 7 bullets of the 10 races held during the final 2 days, after 2 days (and another 10 races) of qualifying races, F-One Team Rider Maxime Nocher largely dominated the regatta and wins the 2015 Kite Foil Gold Cup in San Francisco. Check out this awesome collection by Mark Harpur AKA: Luckybeanz_Photo featuring some of the coolest shots from the 2015 Mitu Wave Camp in Baja Mexico.
