Safety Starts with a Helmet: National Concussion Awareness Day

September 18th is National Concussion Awareness Day, and we’re reminding our riders to protect what matters most. From unexpected falls to contact with boards and foils, accidents can happen at every level. Wear a properly fitted watersports helmet, ride within your limits and look out for one another.

Protect your head. Wear a helmet.

A helmet testimonial from our audience

“I’m a foil Kiter. Wind was light and I didn’t want to drop the kite in the waves. I ditched the board to keep kite in the sky. When coming in the board caught a swell and the mast cracked into my head. It split the helmet. I was blacked out for a second. Had a small bump and that was it. Thanks again for a great product.”

Helmets don’t eliminate every risk, but they add an important layer of protection when the unexpected happens. Choose a properly fitted helmet designed for watersports, know your limits and make safety part of every session. Protect your head, look out for one another and keep enjoying the ride.
