Micah's Recap

“We woke up at 7am to head to Stevenson Washington. Once we arrived, the wind was looking very light and we registered for the event and got a bunch of photos taken. Slowly, the wind started picking up so the first couple heats started at 12:20. There were about six heats until the pro men Wing, which was my heat so I Cheered on other people for a bit until there were only two heats till my heat and I rigged my 4.0 quad X and headed out.

The wind was about 23 which for me was perfect 4.0. In the first heat I landed almost everything just crashing two Palau 3s because I wasn’t used to the flat water. Then when I came in my friends were waiting to congratulate me on the beach and I was pretty happy with my first heat.”

“Then about 10 heats later, It was time for my second heat and the wind had picked up to about 25. So I still took my 4.0 quad X out knowing that this would get me a bit higher to be able to land the Palau 3 that I wanted to land. My first few tricks were a front flip and a backflip to just warm up and then I tried one Palau 3 and crashed So I got up, went back around did it again and landed it then did a few more tricks, went in. We had the award ceremony and that’s when I found out that I had won the Pro men winging division in the bridge of the gods.”

Landon's Recap

“I had an awesome time competing and representing F-One this weekend. It’s always a blast riding with such talented kiters everyone pushes each other to keep progressing and raising the level. I was riding the F-One Trigger, the Spark Board along with the big air handle. I’ve been training a lot with this setup lately and loving it everyday. The kite is fast with lots of lift, and the board is easy to spin and flip with that big air handle. I’m excited for what’s next!”

A special shoutout to Izabella Trudeau for an outstanding fourth-place finish in the Women’s Wing division. Congratulations on an incredible performance!
