Based in Germany and riding out of Borkum, Marten Koblischke is a Big Air rider with a calm approach and a clear love for kiteboarding. He started kiting at 11 and, at 17, continues to progress through consistency and passion.
Hard to miss, Marten pairs an imposing frame with a quiet confidence on and off the water. As a student at the World Class Kiteboard Academy, he balances school, international travel, and riding, always chasing more time on the water and mastering new tricks.
How did you get into kitesurfing?
“A good friend of ours and local waterman, who supported me from day one, taught kiting to me and my best friend at the age of 11. Since then, I couldn’t imagine my life without kiting.”
What do you do before getting in the water?
“Check the conditions, prepare my gear and warm up.”
Tell us about your best kiting memory.
“I had many memorable sessions, but one that stood out for me was the first session in South Africa, together with the World Class Academy. To share the huge excitement with so many friends felt really special.”
