It was a huge weekend in Hawaiʻi for F-One, with both Edo Tanas and Lily Buden taking top honors at the prestigious Molokaʻi 2 Oʻahu crossing.
Edo is officially the back-to-back SUP Foil King, clocking in at 1 hour, 56 minutes, and 55 seconds. Edo powered across the brutal Ka‘iwi Channel for the second year in a row, securing his title after a fierce head-to-head push with @kdmaui in the final stretch.
Just 48 hours after crushing the Maui to Molokaʻi wingfoil classic, Lily made yet another victory- In her first-ever M2O wingfoil race, she earned the crown and proved she’s one to watch.
“Edoardo Tanas of Italy took top honors again this year in the SUP Foil Division with a record time of 1:56:55. The podium was closely contested with Kane de Wilde from Hawaii and Kai Thompson representing Australia. Their times respectively 1:57:57 and 1:58:17 were all under the previous record time of 2:02:58 set by Tanas in 2024.
Tanas commented, “This year’s crossing had everything — powerful currents, consistent winds. It was an unforgettable day on the Ka‘iwi Channel.”
“The Women’s WING Foil division followed suit with the channel, and our athletes, delivering record breaking times. Hawaiians represented with Lily Buden leading the charge, finishing in 2:08:03, followed by Tatiana Grant in 2:10:22 and Anna Kalabukhova in 3rd with a time of 2:18:26. This was sixteen-year-old Lily Buden’s first M2O and an impressive double win after her performance Friday at the Maui 2 Molokai crossing.”
