The Mayan Wind Fest 2025 has wrapped up, bringing a thrilling weekend of wind sports to the beautiful Cancun. This year’s event saw top-tier riders from around the globe, and F-One’s athletes were no exception. With fierce performances and competition, Christopher MacDonald, Morgan Ostermann, and Patrick Kissinger left their marks once again, showing off their skills and pushing the limits on the water. Let’s take a look back at how the F-One groms dominated the event!
At the event, riders competed in three days worth of disciplines including freestyle, long distance racing, and a pump competition during a light wind break. To top the excitement, the boys got the chance to compete on the brand new STRIKE v5. With live music, sun, and a passionate wind community, the energy was high!

In addition to the wing events, the all new F-ONE BRAINCHILD was a hit during the kitefoil action.
The Grom Recap
“Such a sick weekend competing in the Mayan Wind Fest competing in both racing and freestyle. Super stoked to take second in the freestyle, using my 47L Rocket Wing Carbon, 85cm carbon mast, and 630 Escape. The 5m Strike v5 was perfect for the light wind conditions. Switching to the 530 Escape for
racing, where I was able to take 3rd in both course racing and the island crossing. Always fun to come to this place and compete in such a beautiful place. Huge thanks to F-one America, and MANERA America for supporting me through this event. Also huge thanks to the Shaka vibes team for putting on this amazing event.”
“The Mayan Wind Fest, located in Cancun, Mexico, was an incredible event over three days that included competitions in wingfoiling, kitesurfing, kite foiling, sailing, and windsurfing. I took part in the wing foiling events. On the first day, there was little wind, so the event organized a pump foil competition, then the second day presented us with more wind so we did a long-distance race to a nearby island and back and some freestyle, and finishing the event off with slalom racing on the third day. Each discipline was tough and had intense competition, but I was stoked to take home 2nd in the long-distance race, the slalom racing, and 3rd in freestyle. I also had the opportunity to try out F-One’s brand new Strike V5 made from Allula which helped me achieve these results. Thanks a lot to Shaka Vibes who organized the event and F-One and Manera for the awesome gear.“
A huge congratulations to the groms, and a major thank you to Shaka Vibes for putting on such an amazing event! We’re already stoked for next year.
