The third stop of the 2018 Hydrofoil Pro Tour will take place in San Francisco, California at the St. Francis Yacht Club on June 6–10th, 2018. Anyone who has raced at this iconic location will tell you that they can’t wait to get back. Racing will occur just off Crissy Field between St. Francis Yacht Club and the Golden Gate Bridge. For five days, kiters will foil at high speeds around the Bay, hovering three feet above the water as they slice silently through it. In addition to the notoriously voracious breeze, these athletes will battle challenging conditions for any sailing with currents and tides that are un like anywhere else on the globe. Three race days will feature course racing and one will be a long-distance “Bay Tour” that will test competitors’ strategy as well as stamina.
After racing each night, competitors will gather back on the beach on in the St. Francis to enjoy evening activities and get togethers. Grab your beach chair, fill your cooler, and head down to Crissy Field for some incredible racing, chilling, and spectating.
