“When I first saw the reversed rail on this board I didn’t expect it to perform well but when I got on the water I was impressed by its overall abilities. This board is a great all around cruiser for moderate wind which will also allow you to jump and play in the surf. For a larger rider like myself it may be a little small for the lightest conditions, but for the average rider it will work as a fun, playful all around light wind board which is worth giving a go,” Clint Sterba.

This is the LW version of F-One’s popular Next twin tip. The Next LW is a biaxial glass and wood construction deck with F-One’s unique reverse profile surf rail and rounded template. The Next LW comes in two sizes; we tested the larger 150x48cm in the light winds of San Diego. Testers found the Next LW to be excellent in the chop with absolutely no tip spray. The Next LW tracks upwind really well despite its shape and was reported to be fun for carving with medium stiffness in the flex and decent load and pop for fun freestyle. At 150cm in length the Next is still fun for rotational freestyle tricks and although our biggest testers may have wanted more glide in the lightest winds, we think the Next LW is an excellent freeride choice for the average-sized rider in light wind.
