Right out of the box the quality and appeal of the Trax8 is really mind blowing. I’m 190lbs, 6’1” and the TRAX8 138×42 is my personal board of choice for powered flat-water conditions and pushing freestyle in the surf. The board is comprised of a solid CNC 100% wood core and 100% fiberglass envelope construction giving it amazing flex while still keeping the board thin as possible. This year for 2013 the board really has a sharp clean look with the all black and red color scheme.
The board has the carbon twist technology infused into the deck making the TRAX8 not only good looking but, really stable and easy to control in whatever the conditions. It has a nice 3D double concave bottom with the perfect amount of rocker to not only create enormous pop out of the water, but still lock-in and charge up wind. The board is very comfortable feeling with its narrow outline, nice rounded tail ends and the ABS inverted rails, it’s not only built to last but creates a feeling as if the board is working with you to achieve the highest level performance. The TRAX8 smooth’s out the roughest conditions and really is an epic board to ride at any rider level.
For the freestyle/wakestyle riders out there this board rips, throw some boots on it or rock the super comfy F-ONE platinum pro pads and you will have no problem sending huge airs and feeling really comfortable powered up.
Overall the board is extremely light, has a nice dynamic flex, is very responsive and an extremely comfortable board to fit any type of rider. The TRAX8 is perfect for whatever conditions you have to throw its way. The 138x42cm is ideal for the bigger riders and for those looking for a little more pop when riding boots.
