NEXT GEN Training Camp in Fuerteventura – The Experience of a Lifetime

Our young grom Evan Drye was hand picked by F-One International to attend the annual NEXT GENERATION training camp, coached by Etienne Lhote, in FURTEVENTURA, one of the Canaria Island, where the wind is always very strong. The Next Gen Team is composed of promising kids, age 10 to 17 from all around the world, and they are all already VERY good kiteboarders. It was a first for Evan, and also for his dad Kevin. Here is what Kevin has to say about it:

Our young grom Evan Drye was hand picked  by F-One International to attend the annual NEXT GENERATION training camp, coached by Etienne Lhote, in FURTEVENTURA, one of the Canaria Island, and a well k nown kiteboarding destination for Europeans, where the wind is always very strong. It was a first for Evan, and also for his dad Kevin. Here is what Kevin told us

A trip to remember …..

There is a huge shortage of young kids in our local area that kite, combined with my limited experience in the sport. The Next Generation Camp in Fuerteventura was a great opportunity for Evan to get the training and support that he needs  to continue to progress.

For him to have the opportunity to be in an atmosphere of kids from all over the world that share the same passion for the sport was amazing to watch.  Not only did the kids learned the technical aspect of the sport they learned about the mental and physical preparation that’s need to compete at the next level.

The weather and wind in Fuerteventura was great. The kid’s had a chance to ride both the wave side and the flat water lagoon side. There were days that the winds blew over 30 knots. With daily competitions, each kid had opportunity to progress.

Simply said,  The experience of a Life time.

Thank you to F-One and F-One America for the opportunity !
